Proprietary ingredients used in the oil are void of contaminants that could damage sensitive vehicle electronics; the special formulation for the cleaner breaks down oil, dirt and dust while not harming the cotton gauze. aFe POWER cotton gauze filters are washable and reuseable, proper maintenance is key to a long service life. After cleaning, make sure to re-oil your filter; using a cotton gauze filter without oil will severly impact its' ability to protect your engine. For Pro-GUARD 7 Air Filters: This Restore Kit was specifically developed for aFe POWER Pro-GUARD 7 air filters. The POWER CLEANER effectively breaks down dirt and dust without damaging the media, while the oil captures debris during use. Restoring Air Filters: Simply apply the cleaner onto the filter element, let it soak, and rinse. Once dry, the oil can be applied. Take care to not over-oil the filter.
